About Kimberly
Kimberly Greenwell, home expert and host of the TV show, My Southern Home, combines her unmatched media savvy with a passion for seeing aspirational homes come to life. With over twenty seasons under her belt, Kimberly educates homebuyers on topics of renovation and building from the ground up while introducing viewers to trusted professionals that can help with properly creating a dream home including architects, contractors, realtors, interior designers, and more.
Her background in media sales started in high school, where Kimberly competed nationally in marketing competitions. Shortly after, Kimberly fell in love with her first home, My Old Kentucky Home, where she worked as a Southern Belle tour guide during college. Earning a degree in broadcasting landed her a job with a local TV station, WAVE 3, where she worked for seven years as an advertising account executive. Gaining interactive and traditional media knowledge, Kimberly was recruited by Borrell Associates to continue media sales, expanding to include newspapers and radio stations alongside her TV experience.
In 2009, Kimberly opened her media consulting firm, KAG Media Consulting, LLC. Her love of all facets of home building and remodeling grew rapidly when she took on PR for the BIA of Greater Louisville event, Homearama.
Her work in the homebuilding industry led to an opportunity to host the TV show, “Your Kentuckiana Home.” In 2017, Kimberly started her own show, “My Southern Home with Kimberly Greenwell.”
Kimberly is a member of the Home Builders Association of Middle Tennessee, Williamson County Association of Realtors and loves supporting Habitat for Humanity and their mission to create affordable housing opportunities.
